Sharp Start Academy is welcoming its first founding families for our September 2026 launch. While the academy is new, every class is built on over 20 years of experience helping children develop confidence, character, and real-world life skills through classroom and community-based learning.

Sharp Start Academy helps kids grow at every stage. Our live weekend classes (Grades 4 - 7) build essential life skills through real-world learning, while our beautifully illustrated children’s books (Preschool - Grade 3) introduce the same principles in a fun, story-based way. Together, they create a complete pathway from early curiosity to confident, capable learners.

Monthly Themes
Each month, students explore a new real-life skill — from Financial Literacy and Emotional Intelligence to Leadership and Problem Solving. These interactive lessons are designed to build confidence, creativity, and smart decision-making.
Our 12 monthly themes repeat each year with refreshed content, allowing learning to grow with your child over time. Families can join for a single month or enroll year-round for a complete skill-building journey.

Our beautifully illustrated children’s books make big life skills easy for young learners. Each story introduces the same monthly themes we teach in our classes — like decision-making, financial literacy, and emotional intelligence — through fun, simple rhymes and colorful characters. Perfect for kids too young for our live lessons, or for families who want extra practice at home.
About the Academy
Sharp Start Academy was founded by Satwinder "Sonny" Sivia, a certified teacher with over 20 years of experience working with students in both classroom and community settings. After working with at-risk youth, Sonny realized that the best way to help kids make positive choices and lead successful lives is to start early — before habits are fully formed. This inspired the creation of an online weekend school designed to prepare kids for life beyond the classroom.
Our live, interactive classes focus on practical skills like time management, decision making, leadership, and more — skills that build confidence, character, and independence. Students from around the world can join, learn, and connect in a safe, supportive online environment.
For younger children, our Sharp Start Bookstore offers a range of engaging, age-appropriate children’s books that introduce the same life skills in a simple, fun way — perfect for building a foundation before they’re ready to join our classes.
